FOR OVER 60 YEARS

Our history

1960

Rancan Angelo founded the company Rancan Angelo - a small carpentry shop producing components for the textile industry - together with his sons Luigi and Giovanni.

1961

The company understood the potential of laminating the wooden veneers and began production with the Ranprex® brand.

1973

The company began the production of components for the mechanical industry.

1979

The company enters the electromechanical industry by supplying insulating components for oil-immersed electrical transformers.

1988

The third generation of the company, Rancan Giovanni e Figli s.n.c., is founded, involving the sons Mr. Fulvio and Mr. Mauro, with the goal of expanding the presence of Ranprex® in the world of transformers internationally.

1993

The first projects in the Oil & Gas sector are supplied, such as pipelines and insulating parts for gas carriers at cryogenic temperature.

2000

The company consolidates its presence in the International market and Ranprex® is technically approved by all major manufacturers of high-power oil immersed transformers in the 5 continents.

2008

Opening of a second production (Plant 2) plant a few steps from the Headquarters with a strong increase in production output.

2020

Expansion of the Headquarters and introduction of new equipment and technologies.

2022

Expansion of the second production site by doubling the covered surface and further investments in the modernization of machinery to consolidate the Leadership in the production of laminated densified wood in the electromechanical and cryogenic industry.

Our certifications

The constant search for quality has allowed the company to grow together with the power transformer sector and its increasingly higher voltage classes, as well as in the cryogenic industry.
Currently Rancan Srl boasts tenths of homologations and certifications released by the major Worldwide OEMs and first rated Class Societies.

The necessary research for quality has been confirmed by the various certificates obtained in the last twenty-five years, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.

Sustainability

Rancan is involved daily in significant challenges with the target of constantly reducing environmental impact and work for sustainability. Among the numerous commitments, our Company selects only PEFC and FSC certified suppliers of its raw materials. All packages of the products supplied to our customers come from recycled plastics. 90% of paper consumption has been reduced integrating a dedicated implementation in our management system. Use of renewable energy through the installation of solar panels for the operation of the infrastructures as well as the modernization of the systems and electric motors on our machinery has reduced the consumption of energy coming from non-renewable sources of a 75%.
