TEXTILE INDUSTRY

Company Rancan Srl started the production of Laminated Densified Wood during the 60s, owing to the request of textile industry, which was, in that period, at the height of its development.
Basically, the material was used to manufacture staves for rag grinder cylinders, for washing cylinders, carding willows and openers, ledges for conveyors, slat conveyors, shuttles, ledges for healds where natural acacia wood could not satisfy the need for longer durability and the increasingly more demanding requirements for greater strength.
So, by degrees, beech laminated wood started to replace acacia wood.
Still nowadays, these components, are used in such applications, fully exploiting the potentials given by the different applicable densities.
